Zach Dillon

101.1 the River Program Director

Host of 101.1 the River in the Morning (weekdays 5:30a-9:00a)

I was that kid in high school who had no clue what he wanted to do for a career, but that changed when I participated in an explorer program through Loras College to learn about radio broadcasting right here at Radio Dubuque. I graduated from Hempstead in 2013 and went on to attend the University of Dubuque and NICC, decided on a career in radio, then in 2017 I enrolled at Radio1 Broadcast School in LaCross, Wisconsin. It was later that year that I’d land my job on 101.1 The River and I’ve been here ever since. When I’m not working I enjoy casually playing video games, hiking, biking, watching sports (particularly the Hawkeyes and Bears) and cooking.

Megan Schumacher

Megan Schumacher is your afternoon voice on The River, and also works for Dubuque Community Schools as the librarian at Washington Middle School where she also directs the spring musical each year.  She is co-founder of Rising Star Theatre Company and is heavily involved with speech and theatre at Dubuque Senior High School.  Besides great music, she loves Dubuque, good books, theatre, and glitter…but not necessarily in that order.
