Theisen’s Home – Farm – Auto Forget-Me-Not Campaign

Theisen’s Home – Farm – Auto stores in Iowa and Wisconsin have begun their annual Forget-Me-Not campaign to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. They will be selling $1 Forget-Me-Nots to their customers through September 30 and donating 100% of the proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sinsinawa Art Gallery Presents Artist Patricia Mroczka

Sinsinawa Art Gallery presents “With Every Leaf a Miracle” through October 11th. Artist Patricia Mroczka will display her watercolor and pen and ink art. University of Dubuque  Event RISE ABOVE: Tuskegee Airmen. This Traveling Outdoor Exhibit

The University of Dubuque will host a free unique traveling exhibit RISE ABOVE: Tuskegee Airmen. This Traveling Outdoor Exhibit will be open to the public at the Dubuque Regional Airport, 11038 Airport Road – watch for signage. Dates and Times: 
Wednesday, Sept. 29th to Friday, Oct. 1st, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday, Oct. 2nd to Sunday, Oct. 3rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Film showings will occur every 45 minutes from 9:00am to 4:30pm.

Eagle Nature Foundation Fundraiser 50/50 Raffle

The Eagle Nature Foundation (ENF) is sponsoring a new 50/50 Raffle with the tickets at $5 each. The winner’s name will be  drawn during ENF’s 60th Celebration on September 11th. Send your check(s), $5 per ticket, to the Eagle Nature Foundation, 300 East Hickory Street, Apple River, IL 61001 before Sept. 11. There is no limit as to how many tickets one person can buy.  

Fall Clean-up for Mt. Calvary and Mt. Olivet Cemeteries

The annual Fall Clean-up will begin on Monday October 4th and run through Friday, October 8th. Please remove all items and decorations you wish to save no later than Sunday, October 3rd. All items not removed will be discarded. Cemetery  Management requests that no decorations or plantings be placed on grave sites until Saturday, October 9th.

Caregiver Support Group for Caregivers of Dementia Patients/Family Members

24-Hour Care and Oak Park Place host a Caregiver Support group for caregivers taking care of Dementia Patients/family members conducted by trained facilitators. Join them virtually the last Friday of each month at 1:00pm. Contact Sara Kirkpatrick or Nicole Karberg for log in information.

The Cascade High School Athletic Hall of Fame will hold its inaugural induction ceremony at the American Legion Post 528 Hall in Cascade. Tickets are available now at the Cascade High School main office, as well as through a link on the CHS website. The $25 ticket price includes admission to the event, a dinner and two drink tickets. A ceremony-only ticket is also available for $5.

Funds raised are used to provide care packages to local families who experience a pregnancy or infant loss.
